Homicidalheathen Posted July 10, 2006 Posted July 10, 2006 They walk around in big black baggy pants. They have black eye shadow at least an inch around their eyes...they sulk a bit...and are shy. And most people see them and ask if it's halloween yet. You know what? Fuck you. They make str8 'a's. One wants to be a nurse AND volunteer, the other wants to be in the arts and is VERY talented.... And right now, they are at the Macomb Mall buying my husband, who isn't even their real dad but is...you know? A Frank Zappa CD with their money, that they earned themselves by working at crappy jobs like taco bell and chucky cheese. And why are they buying him his Favoret CD? Just because. It's not his birthday.......or aniversary....or anything. Goth kids rule. At least mine do anyway. And I love them for it.
bean Posted July 10, 2006 Posted July 10, 2006 It's too bad more kids (fuck it, adults for that matter) can't be like that. So many people are so selfish and uncaring. It's sad, really. Hooray for your kids!
kellygrrrrrl Posted July 10, 2006 Posted July 10, 2006 We need more alternateens / young goths / punks / to set GOOD examples so that the alternative can be seen as productive parts of society rather than scoffed at and sterotyped. Good for them. Theres such a bad air against those that look different. Whether it be clothes or dang I say it, race. Just goes to show how people will find ANYTHING to down on someone for. Being judged on 1st impression is so unfair. How very small minded of the people that say things out of first impressions. One day, I say, one day the different will be more than the undifferent.
Homicidalheathen Posted July 11, 2006 Author Posted July 11, 2006 It was sooo cute. (teens can still be considered cute, yes in an innocent way) One of them calls me from the FYE and says: mom, I want to get Dad a Zappa Cd but they all sound alike to me. :grin
Onyx Posted July 11, 2006 Posted July 11, 2006 That is so cool! What sweet kids you have. I'm hoping my daughter can get a job in the next couple of weeks. I think it'll be good for her self esteem to be earning her own cash.
Anathema Posted July 11, 2006 Posted July 11, 2006 i adore little goth kids. when i take mine out (who is now 2) people just stare like "please tell me that she is NOT that child's parent".
Homicidalheathen Posted July 11, 2006 Author Posted July 11, 2006 Oh yes, fear the next generation of goths..because....they are worthwhile people who break stereotypes!!!!
honeymustard02 Posted July 12, 2006 Posted July 12, 2006 You've let your kids express themselves but kept them on track and focused on something. Most parents think to let their kids express themselves, it means to just let them run wild. Good work
FarrIL Posted July 12, 2006 Posted July 12, 2006 I dunno how old they are but I wanna meet them. oo; Kudos to your kiddies, HH. =3
