I dunno how we ended up in this casual sex issue, but I say do what feels right. I trust in my instincts in everything I do. If I do find someone that wants to be intimate with me, I dont just do it. It has to feel right. If I care about someone and he and I both want a little more than plain friendship then I dont see a problem with it if we're not wanting commitment. Ive had a few one night stands but I didnt enjoy that. Mostly I just go with the flow and see how things progress. I never jump right into something unless I know what the outcome is gonna be. But I am sick and tired of being hurt by guys who think that they can walk all over me and say anything they want and think I am just going to believe it. I have developed an instinct for catching people at lies and i just cant trust people anymore. I have not given up on relationships I just need a break. They're too complicated and it seems every guy i get with has plans for kids. I'm not ready for kids. I dont want them right now. I want to enjoy what life has to offer and I hate having the thought of being tied down. I'm going to turn 21 next month and I want to explore my options.

Sex shouldn't be casual even if it's with "friends". There are so many STD's out there and all sorts of things you could get and never get rid of. People can have things and not know it. So even if they say they are clean they might not be.

That's my reasoning as to not sleeping with just any body.

Yeah, pretty much. STD's, unwanted pregnancies that ruin lives and burden society, loss of self respect (most people who sleep around seem to have alot fo regrets) and you have a pretty good argument against casual sex. The whole DGN mantra 'do what's right for you' sounds good but when a disease gets spread to 30 people then you realize the 'do what's right for you' card actually affects more than just yourself.
