Explain it to me. How you can call the world a fair and just place unless you believe in reincarnation.

Explain this: I know a guy. He is a total shit. Treats everyone like crap, gets away with anything short of murder. I tell you, thats ALLOT.

Inherited a house, a buisness......doesn't need to work. Was blessed with a good body, nice teeth, never gets sick......

Nothing bad ever happens to this man and he just goes around doing whatever he wants.

Then I see other people who stuggle their whole lives, always trying to do the right thing and 'just be good'....and all they get is crap...illness....forecloser......loss of jobs......abusive boyfriends.....

I just wonder why...and if it is worth it to try to live right. :tear

Yes... ignore him. He may or may not get what he probably deserves. Oh well. Live your life well and die knowing you did so.

I see this all the time.

He has everything he wants except for his SOUL......

I believe in cause and effect. Thats why Reincarnation is the only thing that makes sense to me. And the fact that I remember being places I have never been........

Most of the mideastern belief systems revolve around the idea of Reincarnation.....that if you got allot in this life it was because of something you did in a past life, and that if you get away with too much in this life you may suffer in the next but...

I see needless suffering of great magnitudes all over the planet. Not just people, animals too....they do sometimes kill for sport. It has been proven in nature videos.

And that doesn't make any sense to me and makes me lose some hope.

It's very simple. Either the world is a fair and just place and the sort of people you're talking about are very hollow and unhappy at the core, or they get reincarnated into someone's left testicle.

Or life's not fair.

I tend to believe the latter.

I am big believer in this karma. The what goes around comes around. This one guy may seem to have it made but you don't know the flip side of his life. Happy people do not act this way and that basterd will get what he deserves you will see. :devil

I believe in karma, but I also believe in life lessons. Sometimes, especially with me, when we suffer we are supposed to be learning to prevent the suffering later on by making changes in our thought patterns and behaviors. I also believe we kind of sign up for how much we want to take on at the beginning of each lifetime. What was I thinking when I chose this particular path, my god? lol. Actually, I know I picked it, because I'm annoyingly stubborn like that and want to rush through things. That'll teach me!

pain is inevitable - suffereing is optional... every experience is one to learn from, once one moves past "why me!?"...

True and sometimes hard to remember. I am getting better at getting past the why me mindframe, but from time to time it creeps up.

I believe that everything in life happens for a reason.
