The Necto on Friday has the largest and longest running gay dance night in Michigan. Great Drink specials and a fantastic upbeat DJ to keep you dancing all night. Definatly worth Checking out.

Necto monday.......cosmos on Friday.......rainbow room........the one on the west side, can't remember what its called, I drove an hour to get there and they were just.....too young and pretty for me. So I stick with city club now. The women are more my speed, type...age.....and they actually talk to me and dance with me.

Thats it, stillettos. Bunch of colledge kids that look like models. Oh and you just never know where and when you will meet someone. I met a really nice, pretty 35 yr old bi woman at Mephistos and we are still friends a yr later.

There's Posh in Ferndale. There was "Q" too but that's changed names.. I don't know if it's gay or not.

Joy and Greenfield is Backstreet (back from sharing a location with Space) in detroit. It is one of the older bars. 90+% men

Menjos is on woodward and McNichols Tuesday-Sundays. 85+% men

Numbers is on woodward... its more of a raver crowd now.

I dont remember if Granny's is still open in belleville... but it was tiny and a waste of time

Maxies west was at telegraph and Joy road... closed last I heard

The works/Reedies is on Rosa Parks and Michigan Ave. Its more of a raver crowd now too...

The Berlin is on Belmont... very cool... but its in chicago.

I forget the name of the place in traverse city, but it sucked.

Toronto has a bunch of cool places... no point in trying to list them all.

The happy tap was in Windsor, but i think its closed too... oh and no women allowed... period.

as for a gay bar schedule:

tuesday= necto

wed= backstreet

thursday= menjos

friday= necto

saturday= backstreet or menjos

sunday= menjos

after you hit backstreet or menjos, you can go to cityclub, numbers, or the works since they are all "after hours clubs".

Actually, anybody know where Innuendo is? I went there once, following a couple I'd met from another bar. Didn't know it was a gay club till we got there. It was their subtle little way of propositioning me, it would seem.

Seemed pretty cool, mostly men. I like fun gay guys, though...

It was off the I-75 service drive but I'm damned if I can remember what exit. Thought it was mcnichol's.

Innuendo its right at where Oakland Ave splits off of the I75 service drive near 7 mile.

Gold Coast isnt that bad of a place, they have good security there and the drinks are cheap as hell.

Menjos is okay but its only open 1 day a week now (thursday) they changed up the music format a bit and the crowd is half the size it used to be but you cant beat 1 dollar beer and mixed drinks all night.

One bar nobody has mentioned is Stingers on Sherwood between Outer Dr and 7 mile. its a smaller place but gets a good crowd there on the weekends and is open til 5am 7 nights a week
