That's a lot. I've done S California to Det in a couple days once. Nothing but fucking corn to look at, almost the entire way.

Cruisin' around northern Iowa and southern Minnesota, its a lot of the same. Cornfields. As far as the eye can see, on either side of the road. I found Iowa to be more desolate than New Mexico.

...it would just be corn for miles and miles...and then suddenly, off in the distance there a grain tower would appear. And when you get up to the grain tower you find a town...with little more than a gas station and a few houses.

Yep...or water tower one of the two. I racked up close to 4,000 miles on the rental.

I've done Michigan to Georgia (straight through, only one stop for gas) ... party with the family all day and overnight ... 1 hour quick nap then drove all the way from Georgia to Michigan (same thing ... straight through, only one stop for gas). It was only me and two of my kids, so I did all the driving both times.

My mom flew.

That's the furthest I've drove at once.

Drove most of the way from Florida and that was a nightmare,no sleep at all.
