Guest Game of Chance Posted July 29, 2006 Posted July 29, 2006 ...while negotiating the final terms of the purchase of a home, all the while trading bonds with people from Chattanooga to Minneapolis will wear on a brotha. That's all I'm saying.
Paper Hearts Posted July 29, 2006 Posted July 29, 2006 That's a lot. I've done S California to Det in a couple days once. Nothing but fucking corn to look at, almost the entire way.
Guest Game of Chance Posted July 29, 2006 Posted July 29, 2006 Nothing but fucking corn to look at, almost the entire way. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Cruisin' around northern Iowa and southern Minnesota, its a lot of the same. Cornfields. As far as the eye can see, on either side of the road. I found Iowa to be more desolate than New Mexico.
Paper Hearts Posted July 29, 2006 Posted July 29, 2006 ^That's what I came out of my drive with: this country is mostly corn.
Paper Hearts Posted July 29, 2006 Posted July 29, 2006 ...it would just be corn for miles and miles...and then suddenly, off in the distance there a grain tower would appear. And when you get up to the grain tower you find a town...with little more than a gas station and a few houses.
phee Posted July 29, 2006 Posted July 29, 2006 Longest I ever drove was west side of Colorado.... all the way to Ann Arbor... I think it was close to that

I racked up close to 4,000 miles on the rental. My traveling partner doesn't have a drivers license, so guess who did 98% of the drivng?

Guest Game of Chance Posted July 29, 2006 Posted July 29, 2006 Oh that fucker. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Tell me about it. His saving grace was that he would go to the casinos with me and he brought a fat sack...
Rayne Posted July 29, 2006 Posted July 29, 2006 I've done Michigan to Georgia (straight through, only one stop for gas) ... party with the family all day and overnight ... 1 hour quick nap then drove all the way from Georgia to Michigan (same thing ... straight through, only one stop for gas). It was only me and two of my kids, so I did all the driving both times. My mom flew. That's the furthest I've drove at once.
