Song #1

Song number one is not a fuck you song

I'll save that thought until later on

You want to know if there's something wrong?

It's nothing.

Everybody's talking about their hometown scenes

And hurting people's feelings in their magazines

You want to know what it all means?

It's nothing.

Fighting for a haircut?

I say grow your hair

Crying for the music?

I doubt you really care

Looking for an answer?

You can find it anywhere

It's nothing.

Life is what you want it to be

So don't get tangled up trying to be free

And don't worry what the other people see

It's nothing.

They are NOT Emo. Jesus, don't do that. You're ruining them.

I stated in another thread that Fugazi coined the term EMO, I was wrong, i meant Minor Threat.

But yes, Fugazi was emo - emotional hardcore - which is what Emo used to be. It's something completely different now though. New Emo is perhaps the worst genre in the history of all mankind.

Minor Threat didn't either. Read the article. It was the two bands, Rites of Spring and Embrace that started the DC emocore scene.

I saw Fugazi on the In On The Killtaker tour at Phoenix Plaza Amphitheatre (1993?). Not my favorite band, but deffinately up there for me. They've always been solid.
