Homicidalheathen Posted August 3, 2006 Posted August 3, 2006 When someone is lying to you. Tell tale signs? The story always changes.... They act guilty... Others point things out you have not noticed... Or maybe have but ignored..... Because.... you want to believe the lie. Then your not so gullible.......or alone....or have given up too easy......

I know that people will look up and to the left (so if you are looking at them they would look up and to the right) is a good sign.
Gauge Posted August 3, 2006 Posted August 3, 2006 agreed, if they cant look you in the eye theres something thats not right. . .
Steven Posted August 4, 2006 Posted August 4, 2006 one quick way to tell is that liars always think someone else is also a liar. Untrustworthy people do not trust others.

creatureofthenyte Posted August 23, 2006 Posted August 23, 2006 you can tell if someone is lying to you if they are jittery around you, or give evasive answers to your questions, like someone else said also, if they cant look you in the eye. Also listen to your gut feeling, if it feels like they're lying to you, then its quite possible that they are. Try to find some sort of conclusive proof though before you accuse them of lying.
Steven Posted August 24, 2006 Posted August 24, 2006 LIAR!!!!!!! I just saw this for the first time Phee. good one
Shade Everdark Posted August 24, 2006 Posted August 24, 2006 agreed, if they cant look you in the eye theres something thats not right. . . Forgive me for taking issue with this, but I really don't see this as a good indicator of a liar. A lot of people who can't hold eye contact for long are not liars, but are simply shy, and many liars can stare you right down, they have so little shame for it.
mallochai Posted August 24, 2006 Posted August 24, 2006 Yeah. I get really nervous when I'm being brutally honest about something personal. Or when I feel under pressure for any reason. Like when I had to almost fire a girl the other day, and was explaining my position to the boss. I certainly wasn't making anything up, but I sure FELT like I was, by how nervous the whole thing was making me.
jadnifer Posted August 24, 2006 Posted August 24, 2006 The only way I can really tell if someone is lying to me is if Ive known them long enough to know their quirks. Some people make their nostrils really big when they are lying....some people have shifty eyes....it really all depends on the person thats telling the "lie". Phee- How do you know hes a liar? GIve us the reasons so we know to catch him next time!!! HA HA HA!
honeymustard02 Posted August 24, 2006 Posted August 24, 2006 It's a lot easier then figuring out how to tell a guy he has a small penis.
