Guest Game of Chance Posted August 5, 2006 Posted August 5, 2006 Agreed and AGREED. They just rock. Man, my buddy was in a movie with him. How cool would it be to hang out with that guy? http://profile.myspace.com/index.cfm?fusea...iendID=56454167
phee Posted August 5, 2006 Posted August 5, 2006 He was hanging out in the crowd at St. Andrews at a Mr. Bungle show... talked to him for a bit, cool guy... Are you into Fantomas?
Guest Game of Chance Posted August 5, 2006 Posted August 5, 2006 Right on. Yeah, thats what my buddy said. Really laid back. And crazy. Practical joker. I've only heard a bit, but I like what I've heard.
phee Posted August 5, 2006 Posted August 5, 2006 I have had dinner with the drummer (Dave Lumbardo from Slayer) and caught them the last few times.... ADD listening
Steven Posted August 5, 2006 Posted August 5, 2006 I'm a tomohawk fan. Mike Patton has the widest range in rock music.
Guest Game of Chance Posted August 6, 2006 Posted August 6, 2006 Right on. I have friends who like both bands (and all Mike Patton side-projects for that matter). I dated a girl who was really into Lovage, so I in turn got into them. Good stuff. A friend of mine got me into Secret Chiefs 3. Ever listen to them? Its the guitarist from Mr. Bungle and friends. Crazy, crazy experimental.
Steven Posted August 6, 2006 Posted August 6, 2006 no I've never heard of them, or Lovage either.....sounds like I need to go do some digging through the CD Bins....
Guest Game of Chance Posted August 6, 2006 Posted August 6, 2006 There's a link above for Lovage. Here's one for Secret Chiefs 3... http://profile.myspace.com/index.cfm?fusea...riendID=5267768
MarsDustDoug Posted August 7, 2006 Posted August 7, 2006 I love Mike Patton <{POST_SNAPBACK}> agreed. Patton is my favorite vocalist of all time. He is a musical genius and a downright interesting human being. I wasnt a huge fan of Lovage, but its a great project and i do still lsiten to it occasionally. It is Mike after all Faith no More and the first Mr Bungle were his greatest works in my opinion Falling To Pieces is still one of my favorite songs ever
Guest Game of Chance Posted September 15, 2006 Posted September 15, 2006 I can't stop listening to "Music to Make Love to Your Old Lady By".
phee Posted September 15, 2006 Posted September 15, 2006 I can't stop listening to "Music to Make Love to Your Old Lady By". I am the girdle I am the meat!!
Guest Game of Chance Posted September 15, 2006 Posted September 15, 2006 you and me are a disease and the germs are spreading use me like listerine, keeping your breath fresher feel the stroke of your paintbrush, my blank sheet of paper i'm your book of the month, read the fine print later
phee Posted September 15, 2006 Posted September 15, 2006 "I'm a Man!" "I'm a Woman" "I'm a Man" "I'm a Virgin" "I'm a Man" etc....
Guest Game of Chance Posted September 15, 2006 Posted September 15, 2006 Indeed. They are good stuff.
mallochai Posted September 17, 2006 Posted September 17, 2006 I'm a huge Faith No More fan, and have enjoyed bits and pieces of Mr. Bungle, although most anythong other than California (which I love unconditionally) gives me a noisy attack after more than ten minutes.... too random! I haven't heard any Loveage or Tomahawk. I know of them, but haven't been properly exposed. Mostly, I'm just not sure where to start album wise. Suggestions?
Guest Game of Chance Posted September 17, 2006 Posted September 17, 2006 Honestly, I haven't heard a ton of Tomahawk. I might have heard a song or two in the car, but I don't know enough to recommend anything by them. The record "Music to Make Love to You Old Lady By" is the only one that I'm aware of. Although, rumor has it there will be a new one out late this year.
phee Posted September 17, 2006 Posted September 17, 2006 Tomohawk is more traditonal rock... just wierd Lovage is sort of chill techno (He is a guest vocalist here) Fantomas is more off the wall then Mr. Bungle is.... if you can believe it, Also this band employs the drummer of Slayer

Definitely NOT techno.
