City Club 8/19

Okay, so I started this thread a day early but I'm so excited I finally get to go for the first Saturday in forever so

Spook's 1/2 Birthday Party

As some of you may know, Saturday nights at work is a fairly busy and important night at work so the odds of me ever getting one off are next to nil. But, my coworker is taking vacation days next week which throws the whole schedule into havoc and oddly enough, I actually have next Saturday off and am planning on taking this opportunity to go to City Club for the first time in a loooong time (and if it's not too sticky hot, wear some new vinyl I haven't had a chance to yet). I just happened to notice that August 19th is exactly 6 months after my birthday (February 19th) and 6 months 'til. So, I figured I'd celebrate with an unofficial 1/2 birthday party.

Who: Me, You, a bunch of friends from outside of DGN, and some CC regulars

What: My 1/2 Birthday Party

When: Saturday, August 19th, 10:00pm - 4:00am

Where: City Club, The Leland Hotel - 400 Bagley Avenue, (formerly Ramada Inn), Detroit, MI 48226

Why: Because I may never get another Saturday night off again

How: Industrial/Goth/Punk themed night club. $3 cover, $4 after 11:00; $3 parking if you use the gated lot. No cellphones, spikes, or chains allowed. (If I'm remembering all that correctly.) Wear cheap shoes 'cuz you'll stick to the floor.

Nah, just a 1/2 birthday. I think your coming out of the woodwork is a more momentous occasion.
