jadnifer Posted August 18, 2006 Posted August 18, 2006 I am in serious need of a good scare! Can anyone recommend some good horror flicks?
phee Posted August 18, 2006 Posted August 18, 2006 Hmmm.... Can you be more specific? Do you like "Boo! EeeK?" more the unnerving mood? or like epic horror?

jadnifer Posted August 18, 2006 Author Posted August 18, 2006 Hmmm.... Can you be more specific? Do you like "Boo! EeeK?" more the unnerving mood? or like epic horror? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I love psychological thrillers. Like the Hannibal Lecter series. I love movies that make me scared to be alone... movies that make you question what is real stuff like that
jadnifer Posted August 18, 2006 Author Posted August 18, 2006 In the Mouth of MadnessThe Last House on the Left Carrie Halloween Rosemary's Baby <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I just recently saw In the Mouth of Madness at the movie really made me think of what reality really is! I would definitely recommend this one to anyone!
phee Posted August 18, 2006 Posted August 18, 2006 I would recommend the movie "Primer" very low budget and subtle... but very eerie in it's own way... "Angel Heart" is also very keen and smart... And there is always John Carpenters "The Thing"
Slept with ghost Posted August 18, 2006 Posted August 18, 2006 i prefer asian stuff (yes im that kind of an asshole)
Paper Hearts Posted August 19, 2006 Posted August 19, 2006 Anything Dario Argento or anything from that Super Gore movement from 1970s Italy. But I think I have to give Hitchcock a nod too. Another horror movie I like is Mark of the Vampire...although, it's pretty campy. I would also list Rosemary's Baby and Deliverance, the Shining...I don't underrate Texas Chainsaw Masacre, either. And you have to have one or two Trauma movies to round out your collection. Oh, and I think people should have Nosferatu and the Cabinet of Doctor Caligari. Fuck, there's too many good ones, Hour of the Wolf...Night of the Living Dead...
Scary Guy Posted August 19, 2006 Posted August 19, 2006 Hellraiser = my favorite series of movies ever Can't go wrong with the classics, campy is good too. www.cinimawasteland.com learned a lot staying at that for a weekend. I recommend going if you have the funds.
Homicidalheathen Posted August 19, 2006 Posted August 19, 2006 http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0120710/ In Dreams. It made me jump and cry.
Rivet_HeadINC Posted August 20, 2006 Posted August 20, 2006 The Hills Have Eyes Final Destination 3 (it is really worth it) and my all time fav. Friday The 13th, along with Hellraiser

Brenda Starrr Posted August 20, 2006 Posted August 20, 2006 My 11 year old and I just got back from a party, where I was enlightened on just how many horror flicks she's seen at sleepovers..... And she seems to like "The Devil's Rejects." I don't know if I'm happy about this.... :erm
Slept with ghost Posted August 20, 2006 Posted August 20, 2006 when i have a kid i want to raise them up on horror movies that why they can be the homicidal maniacs that their father has always wanted to be but was to much of a pussy to ever act on
