BrassFusion Posted August 18, 2006 Posted August 18, 2006 I downloaded a torrent that included "Heroes" but most of the track times are screwed up. Beauty and the Beast, for example, is listed as being over 21 minutes long, when it really clocks in at about 3:43. When it's over, ITunes is mercifully skipping the dead air to the next track, but it pisses me off that the song doesn't know how long it is. It's the same on the ipod. Anyone else ever have this problem or know how to address it? Btw, no one can prove that I never bought the album and that I just downloaded the torrent because I'm too lazy to rip it myself ;D

Anyhow I use winamp and it never does that to me. If it does have trailing silence in the track you can use a program to edit it out. Look up Audacity.

And I doubt it's Itunes, cuz this has never happened before. it's probably the jackass who made the torrent somehow.

(well if I felt like spending money on an iPod, right now I just use my jump drive and it does everything I want fine). As far as the files go, if the files screw up in winamp as well as on your iPod, then it's a problem with the file. If it doesn't screw up in winamp, then iPods just suck.
