SpidersMoment Posted August 20, 2006 Posted August 20, 2006 I beleive in Balloons What do you beleive in?
Guest Game of Chance Posted August 20, 2006 Posted August 20, 2006 Funny, I literally just posted it here: http://www.ontheb.us/forum/viewtopic.php?t=10
Steven Posted August 21, 2006 Posted August 21, 2006 I think I've pretty much exhausted my explanations on what i beleive over the last week or so. I will add however, that Anton Levay was to me, just a carnie who needed permission to delve deeper into self worship. So he wrote a rulebook or two of his own, hung out with Sammy Davis Jr and John Kerry, had some fun orgies, and died a quite mortal and limited man who's complete theology can can be summed up in one word: Gimmee. He was weak.
Guest Game of Chance Posted August 21, 2006 Posted August 21, 2006 Who mentioned anytihng about Anton Levay? btw...I completely agree with you.

The AL that is quoted in the above link refers to Liber AL vel Legis, not Anton LaVey. Its The Book of the Law., written in 1904 and published by Aleister Crowley. Wrong occult figurehead, but I can see where you may have drawn that conclusion.

Steven Posted August 21, 2006 Posted August 21, 2006 wrong author, same perception, same conclusion on my part however (respectfully suggested) that self worship ultimately is the path of self defeat.

torn asunder Posted August 21, 2006 Posted August 21, 2006 wrong author, same perception, same conclusion on my part however (respectfully suggested) that self worship ultimately is the path of self defeat. self-worship as a way to foster self-love, which leads you to have an excess of love to give away to others, i think is just the opposite of self-defeat... :innocent

BrassFusion Posted August 21, 2006 Posted August 21, 2006 it's also the key to... well, lol. I shouldn't say it because it doesn't need to be perverted to be true.
Brenda Starrr Posted August 21, 2006 Posted August 21, 2006 I believe that Bloody Marys were the most important alcoholic drink ever invented. Next to the Cosmopolitan, of course. I believe that some people will never "get it" and should just drop off the face of the planet. I believe that my kids will be alright, despite the fact that there are so many stumbling blocks in front of them that it hurts. I believe that Karma will kick your ass. I believe that next month will be an awesome month.

Steven Posted August 21, 2006 Posted August 21, 2006 Loving yourself is the key to loving others <{POST_SNAPBACK}> if only it was just as easy as saying it.
phee Posted August 21, 2006 Posted August 21, 2006 if only it was just as easy as saying it. Ugghhh tell me about it
Brenda Starrr Posted August 21, 2006 Posted August 21, 2006 Eight years ago, my self esteem was so low that I couldn't possibly have loved myself. Now, I love me lots. I fucking rock, even if others don't agree. So, screw them. I <3 me.
