There's this diner across from the music building at Wayne State and we'd all be in there drinking coffee between reherasals every day. This one old foreign cook guy liked me in particular for some reason, even though, to my knowledge, he'd never heard any of us play anything.

But one day we all go in and he's all, "It's the Legend! How are you doing, Legend! You are, how they say, Legendary!"

Me must've just learned the word. But yeah, it's my stage name now.
