Dubh Aingeal Posted August 25, 2006 Posted August 25, 2006 The Sci-Fi channel has announced that it will not be renewing its (very popular) original series Stargate SG-1 for another season. The spinoff series Stargate: Atlantis will get the nod, though, airing for a fourth year. SG-1 aired its 200th episode on August 18th, and the SF series is the longest-running SF show on American television. All though new episodes of both Stargate SG-1 and Stargate Atlantis continue Fridays this summer starting at 9 p.m. Eastern/Pacific, leading up to the mid-season finale on September 22. The second half of the season will begin in March, leading to SG-1's final bow on SCI FI in June.

Medea Posted August 26, 2006 Posted August 26, 2006 Though, Atlantis has been growing on me lately. I really like McKay to be honest.
phee Posted August 26, 2006 Posted August 26, 2006 It definitly had its fair share... Battlestar Galactica.... Dr. Who anyone?
Scary Guy Posted August 27, 2006 Posted August 27, 2006 I swear the excecs at sci-fi are doing too many drugs. A labodamized lab monkey could run that network better than those retards. Every show that's worth something gets cancled. If a series is still going strong why not keep it around as long as you're not jumping the shark. Doctor Who isn't Sci-Fi channel, it's imported from the BBC and therefore doesn't count.
