My Class Reunion

Alrighty. So I've been getting messages for months from Classmates.com about my 20 year reunion. The festivities go on over 2 days in mid September.

So after much inner debate, I decided I'm going to go to it. I'm actually looking forward to it.

But recently, I've been in contact with the people putting this together. And I have come to a major conclusion.

They're the SAME uber-popular people they were back in high school. They're just as clueless. Just as segregation-minded as they were before.

They contacted 152 people. And the number of people they DIDN'T contact...

...207.

You mean to tell me they only managed to track down about 40% of the graduating class???

And here's the rub. Turns out they had a 15 year reunion 5 years ago.

I was never contacted. And I was STILL LIVING IN THE SAME HOUSE I LIVED IN BACK IN HIGH SCHOOL.

But I wasn't registered on Classmates.com. Which appears to be the ONLY method they are using to contact people.

They needed 80 people paid to come by this past Saturday. As of today, they're still begging people to get their money in, and needed last-minute to get numbers up from 62 people to make the minimum.

Now, here's what I took it upon myself to do today. I got a spreadsheet from one of the guys doing this, listing who they were not able to contact. I get on zabasearch.com. In 30 minutes I got through about 12-14 people.

And found contact information for 10 of them.

ONE FUCKING HALF HOUR, and I had an 80% success rate. Vs. their 40%.

What a fucking joke.

And I told the prom queen about 2 months ago about Zabasearch.

What the fuck ever. I'm still going. I bought new high-heel boots to go with my corset for fuck's sake.

Anyway, I told Mr. Reunion organizer about this. He is overwhelmingly welcoming my help. I'm going to work on this for a few hours tomorrow and give him the information by Saturday morning. Let him make the phone calls.

I helped out slightly with my 20th but ended up not going because of a charity bike ride (MS150). I really could have cared less.

I have absolutely no desire to go to mine. I already see the only people that I want to from high school. Plus, I don't really have anything to hold over other people's heads. I've got a crap job and live a pretty painfully boring life.

I worked on their fucking list today from about 9:00 p.m until 3:30 a.m.

I managed to track down a ton of people. And last time I talked to the guy organizing this, he got two more people to come thanks to me.

I'm so fucking tired.
