going from caring for devlopmentally disabled people by day

to taking care of a schizophrenic on disability by night.

Especially when that person is your husband.

No one who sees the fun drunk at city club really understands what you leave behind one night a week.

I'm so glad I got to know you; away from the makeup, the noise, the booze

and the weird couple who dress up in full leather because they are too cool for everyone else.

And instead,

I got to know the caring soul who always listens.

Thanks. It went fast because we didn't have children, we were only married 2 1/2 years, and I owned all of my major things before we were married, so there was nothing to split up or argue over.
