Disagree.

Consider this - as the human population has grown, so has the quality of life - not evenly and not everywhere, but as a whole. We get smarter. We learn. They make these models all the time. And then the model breaks because someone figures some shit out. They figure out how to increase an engine's fuel efficiency. They figure out how to conserve water better. They figure out how to pull more oil from the oil wells. They just plain figure shit out. It's what we do. It's what we've always done and what we will continue to do.

I dunno, Sass. We're not getting any SMARTER, as individuals... We just have gads of information at our fingertips that many of us are too stupid to utilize properly.

Though I think the article was too pessimistic and it didn't seem to address alternative fuels that WILL be implemented when the oil runs out. Or maybe it did that toward the end... I'm an ADD American and I didn't read the whole damn thing.

Didn't read it, I'd just like to say from what I've observed the human race has actually gotten dumber over the years.

Knowledge is great, however the wisdom to use it is equally as necessary.
