Otto Posted September 6, 2006 Posted September 6, 2006 Come check out Chicago-based CRUCIFORM INJECTION Saturday Sept. 16th at Mephisto's (2764 Florian Ave Hamtramck, MI). They'll be playing with Detroit's CHIASM and HYPODERMIC. Doors open at 9 PM. 21 and over welcome with proper ID. $8 cover. For further band details, check them out on www.myspace.com/ by adding the band name to the URL (no spaces).
BrassFusion Posted September 7, 2006 Posted September 7, 2006 Hmm. Just to make it easier for all you intrepid music lovers out there, I'll actually LINK to the band's Myspace page, as I'm pretty sure it's not against the board rules to do so. Not that I've ever heard of this group... but circumventing rules that don't apply just pisses me off. Cruciform Injection's Myspace

Troy Spiral (13) Posted September 8, 2006 Posted September 8, 2006 Hi Otto, Thanks for posting this. Feel free to use the forums to promote shows partly what they are here for. =) Not sure what rules are being refrenced above but the only real "rule" about posting links to sites is if there is some site that is sort of "competition" for DGN i'd rather not see links to it on the board. Doesnt really apply to this sort of stuff.
BrassFusion Posted September 9, 2006 Posted September 9, 2006 It was my misunderstanding. I assumed he'd put "check them out on www.myspace.com/ by adding the band name to the URL (no spaces)." to avoid putting a full link. I've seen it done on other message boards by people trying to get around bots that would censor or delete posts that link to outside sites to promote. And we all know how much Erin hates spammers. but i'm just a bitch and i'll shut up now =)

Just in this case i dont think it really falls under the "spam" catagory. Often its a judgement call as to what is and isnt spam.
BrassFusion Posted September 9, 2006 Posted September 9, 2006 well yeah. like i said, i'm a bonehead. we pm'd a little and otto is officially cool by my semi-professional reckoning. he just needs to post more...
