Paper Hearts Posted September 28, 2006 Posted September 28, 2006 I like peanut butter on mine or real maple syrup. None of that Log Cabin/Mrs Butterworth smack. Cinnamon is nice, and possible apples or berries. And no regular butter. Deffinately no margerine. And I eat them with my bare fists so that I go around smelling like syrup all day. No, I don't, I use a fork.
HipsterDufus Posted September 28, 2006 Posted September 28, 2006 I will only agree if said flap jacks include copious amounts of sausage and bacon. And they get dipped in the syrup... :fear
Rayne Posted September 28, 2006 Posted September 28, 2006 *attempted thread-jack* WAFFLES RULE! I'm with Ben. First thing I did upon moving in here was buy a waffle maker.
BrassFusion Posted September 28, 2006 Posted September 28, 2006 *attempted thread-jack* WAFFLES RULE! FUCK YOUR SUBVERSIVE WAFFLE REGIME! (french toast ftw)
JaneDead Posted September 28, 2006 Posted September 28, 2006 butter, real maple syrup, sometimes flavored syrups like blueberry or strawberry... fruit on them is nice. french toast is my favorite though.... butter, real maple syrup, sometimes flavored syrups like blueberry or strawberry and of course fruit on them is nice too. belgium waffles are good with strawberry and some whipped cream.

No, I don't, I use a fork. Mrs Butterworths = Telephone pole syrup = CRAP!!! Real pancakes. Real butter. Real syrup. Plus bacon. Waffles or French toast are perfectly accepable substitutes, depending on they're prepared, of course.
Dubh Aingeal Posted September 29, 2006 Posted September 29, 2006 Pancakes with Brown Sugar sprinkles on them Belgian Waffles with Warm Apples French Toast with Real Maple Syrup all the above must be accomanied by at the very least one the the following sides best with all three - bacon, sausage, and ham.
kellygrrrrrl Posted September 29, 2006 Posted September 29, 2006 French Toast! with butter and powdered sugar! Waffles with real butter, real syrup, and real cinnimon...do they make fake cinnimon? Pancakes....as long as they don't have a soggy middle. I like mine shaped like Mickey Mouse.
pharoh Posted September 29, 2006 Posted September 29, 2006 I like the all, but I am a waffle and french toast man for life Dubh Aingeal has the right idea
DarkVampire Posted September 30, 2006 Posted September 30, 2006 Lots of butter and Ms Butterworth thank you. :peanutbutterjellytime
JaneDead Posted September 30, 2006 Posted September 30, 2006 i can never ever go back to something like mrs buttersworth after eating only real maple syrup all last year. not that i eat pancakes/waffles/french toast too often. but when i do - i has to be real stuff. i can not stand the taste of other syrups now.

Do you use a fork when you eat your pancakes or do you just bare knuckle it?
JaneDead Posted September 30, 2006 Posted September 30, 2006 i have to use a fork because i do not like sticky things touching my hands. if i used my hands i would probably want to wash my hands after every bite. i'm very weird about dirty or sticky hands. i hate it. i have hand wipes in my car because of it. not that i plan to eat sticky pancakes in my car but when something does cause my hands to not feel "clean" i am content with the fact that hand wipes are right there at my side.
JaneDead Posted September 30, 2006 Posted September 30, 2006 oh and to further answer your question, i could bare knuckle a plain pancake just not a sticky syrupy one.
Paper Hearts Posted September 30, 2006 Author Posted September 30, 2006 oh and to further answer your question, i could bare knuckle a plain pancake just not a sticky syrupy one. Fair enough. I suppose I just asked because for what ever reason I always think of this kid in elementary school who perpetually smelled of syrup. And I thought maybe some people could relate or possibly could find it funny. But you are not a sticky hands person, so maybe not. Edit: I mispelled 'elementary'.
JaneDead Posted September 30, 2006 Posted September 30, 2006 now, if someone wanted to they could feed me pancakes with THEIR hands so i would not have to be sticky.
Paper Hearts Posted September 30, 2006 Author Posted September 30, 2006 now, if someone wanted to they could feed me pancakes with THEIR hands so i would not have to be sticky. Maybe for your birthday we can arrange that.
JaneDead Posted September 30, 2006 Posted September 30, 2006 we have until june so i believe it could be arranged
Paper Hearts Posted September 30, 2006 Author Posted September 30, 2006 Who would you trust to feed you flap jacks with their bare hands?
pharoh Posted September 30, 2006 Posted September 30, 2006 i have to use a fork because i do not like sticky things touching my hands. Ok I just had to point this part out lol
JaneDead Posted September 30, 2006 Posted September 30, 2006 Who would you trust to feed you flap jacks with their bare hands? hmmm probably steve. i know steve well enough to know where his hands might be. on second thought... not steve. i know where his hands might have been. i hear stories... i guess i would just have to watch someone wash their hands first and then i could trust just about anyone. as long as they don't shove them down my throat. i need to eat them nice and slow.
