Second Annual John Peel Day

For the second anniversary of John Peel's last live broadcast, BBC Radio1 is celebrating the legacy of John Peel by inviting bands, venues and radio stations, around the world to organize John Peel Day gigs through the Radio1 web site (no listings yet for such an event in Detroit). John Peel Day will happen 12 October and will be accompanied by a John Peel tribute Radio1 broadcast of an Electric Prom, with musical groups, The Raconteurs, Sqaurepusher and The Horrors, from Electric Ballroom, Camden, London UK, on Thursday 26 October 2006.
