I know that... I was saying it's not as hard as some people think. Not when you have the resources to buy the things you need.

The fuel is the only hard part to get and the things to refine the fuel. All of those are on watch lists or you need international permits to buy. Most of them can be bought on the black market, but you will still most likely get caught.

The actually real hard part is the math to figure out how much explosive to use to start the thing and to form it into a perfect circle.

Then there is the handling of the fuel without dieing part...

Where was I going with this? oh yeah... I wasn't really trying to imply that any joe could do it, but a well funded small country could as long as they had the right contacts and things other people needed.

you only need perfect compression if you are using an implosion device. A gun type nuclear weapon does not need that (the difference between fat man/plutonium implosion type and little boy/uranium gun type)
