That started out as an experiment to try and see if i could get something posted in 'no mans land'. That area over there to the right of the statistics paragraph is notorious in IPB circles as being blank, wasted space. I wanted to put an actual script in there rather than just some random text, and i saw that moon phase thing and figured hrmm... guess it fits.

Also the old board had a "Board Founded: X date" line on it that was never duplicated when we switched over to this new system, me fumbling around with that part of the board led into it also. Much of these little random changes take an asinine amount of time and you end up in a totally different place than you meant to when you started.

I didn't start out with any plan to add any "lunar news" it just sort of evolved. Now that its there, seems sort of... er... fitting. Gives people something to look at down there for 2 seconds rather than just black space.
