Troy Spiral (13) Posted October 12, 2006 Posted October 12, 2006 As usual (with both parties) it creates a cartoon version of the other side and then (obviously now that they've created the cartoon) easily shows its faults. But anyhow, its a clever ad.
BrassFusion Posted October 12, 2006 Posted October 12, 2006 O_o "In a post-9/11 world, making nice to our enemies will not make them nice to us." The basketball thing was PRE-9/11, was it not? God damn assholes with their scare tactics. "Vote for us or everyone's gonna die! I mean like, die before your time, that is!" Pathetic. and sorry, I guess I only watched the first 20 or 30 seconds of it cuz it kept stopping to buffer or whatever that is.
Troy Spiral (13) Posted October 13, 2006 Author Posted October 13, 2006 The idea there was i think to rally the hardcore conservative base. Your average liberal will take no heed to such an ad. Clinton is a favorite target of the left so they dug that goofball part of it out and used it as a beat through the ad. That ad is very well done for its intended audience. My crazy dad would vote 3X after seeing that ad if he could. Often i can appreciate propaganda regardless of what side , or point its making. Thus is the case here. A better way would be "The Japanese Had to BOMB us before we did anything about hitler.. and even then it was only reluctantly, and against the liberals (which was the majority of the country at the time) wishes. The liberals wanted to let him have more of europe first and see what happened.". My dad would be cheering at the TV.
