Fierce Critter Posted October 23, 2006 Posted October 23, 2006 We've had about 3 drinking glasses broken in our bedroom over the past few weeks. Thought we found all the shards and bits - WRONG! I managed to find a decently long and pointy one with my FOOT Saturday morning. Mutherfucker was buried an inch deep. As I went to pull it out, I couldn't believe how more glass KEPT COMING. And it couldn't have sunk into a worse place on my foot. It's on the outside bottom, near the ball of the foot. Except for the heel, I don't think there's a place on the foot that bears more weight. So I've been mostly laid-up in bed since. I could just grin and bear it and keep walking around and re-opening it, but I REALLY have been looking forward to Halloween festivities. So in the interest of being in great shape for next weekend, I'm being a "good girl" and keeping off it. I was so upset Saturday. Here I am, making major breakthroughs with my depression. I had already put on make-up and done my hair, and was pawing through a messy closet for the "right" shoes for a day's worth of running around doing errands and shopping when BAM! I slid my foot sideways along the carpet and felt the sting. God, I'm so sick of my bed. At least today it's good enough that I can sit downstairs on the computer.
pharoh Posted October 23, 2006 Posted October 23, 2006 Gonna sound gross hun, but pour super glue into it. It will keep it closed and heal up for you....liquid bandade is the same thing, but it doesn't smell
Fierce Critter Posted October 23, 2006 Author Posted October 23, 2006 Jon played doctor for me, and put a ton of that liquid bandage stuff on it. It really sealed it well. Still hurts like a bitch, though. I had no choice but to run out to the bank today to deposit some cash to cover an auto withdrawal happening tomorrow, and it really hurt. :(
n0Mad Posted October 24, 2006 Posted October 24, 2006 Ouch! Trust me, I know all about glass in feet (and other places):
