Curb Your Enthusiasm

So, I haven't had cable in years. And I've seen this show win Emmys, and heard a lot about how good it is.

So I rented the first season on DVD from the library. And watched the first episode last night.

Well, tried to. I couldn't finish it.

I don't get it. It's like Seinfeld, but with everybody in a constantly cranky & combative mood.

I have a good sense of humor. But I don't find constant conflict funny. A little conflict, yes. But constant ongoing arguments just make me tense and apprehensive, not jolly.

Not really getting what's so "genius" about it.
