Homicidalheathen Posted November 1, 2006 Posted November 1, 2006 I can think of a few..but this one, the Notebook.....is so sad. He looses her once, then again......because her mind goes. It is a tear jerker. Usually I don't like them, but this is an excellent story.
BrassFusion Posted November 1, 2006 Posted November 1, 2006 I cried at the end of Spartacus. That's the only one I'm comfortable admitting to.
Fierce Critter Posted November 1, 2006 Posted November 1, 2006 What Dreams May Come - got both Jon and I crying. When you really, really, seriously love someone, you can't help but put yourself into the characters in that film. Any Disney cartoon where a character dies - so in other words, EVERY FREAKING DISNEY CARTOON I tend to cry not only at sad things in films, but also very moving scenes. Including the aforementioned Spartacus. When all the men start saying, "I am Spartacus!" it really gets me. Really, the question is what don't I cry at where films are concerned. I really am a horrible wimp, it's very easy to jerk a tear out of me.
Vampyro Posted November 1, 2006 Posted November 1, 2006 oddly enough, the origional Crow. The storyline was good, bit cheesy though.. oh hell EVERYONE'S seen that damn movie. And yes, i still get a bit choked up at the end. I also cried when Titanic first came out, but only because the girl i took to see that punched me in my throat hard for laughing at that guy that fell off the boat, hit the propeller, and started spinning out of control down to the ocean.. after dumping her right there, everytime i see that movie, i still laugh at that part.
Gothmama25 Posted November 1, 2006 Posted November 1, 2006 I'm about to sound like a major wimp but a few movie that can actually make me shed a tear is Beaches(ending) Bambi(when bambi's mom gets killed)
Gaf The Horse With Tears Posted November 1, 2006 Posted November 1, 2006 iI'm with FC. I cry at a lot of movies. I don;t see the point of watching a movie if you dont immerse yourself in it and connect with the people. It's not about being a "wimp" or anything like that. It's about empathy and knowing yourself.
LuluVox Posted November 1, 2006 Posted November 1, 2006 Edward Scissorhands The English Patient Garden State Lost in Translation Everything Is Illuminated Mystic River The Last Kiss and many more that I can't recall at the moment

Homicidalheathen Posted November 2, 2006 Author Posted November 2, 2006 You crack me up! I did cry though. I thought it was so sad he gave his life for her, only for her to miss him for the rest of her entire life. And when she threw the jewel worth a mill into the ocean in honor of his love......that was great. oddly enough, the origional Crow. Msterbeau Posted November 2, 2006 Posted November 2, 2006 City of Angels. I can't listen to some of the songs on the soundtrack without shedding a tear. There are others, but they escape memory at the moment.
phee Posted November 2, 2006 Posted November 2, 2006 City of Angels. I can't listen to some of the songs on the soundtrack without shedding a tear. There are others, but they escape memory at the moment. I love that movie... it's like it was written by a ten year old girl and finished by a ten year old boy! The girl is like: "Once upon a time there was this pretty and beautiful girl, who was so pretty and nice that an angel fell in love with her, and gave up his wings because he loved her so much so they could be together in love and stuff!!!" Then the 10 year old boy grabs the script and is like: "Then she gets hit by a truck and DIES!!! the end, HA HA HA HA!!!"
Fierce Critter Posted November 2, 2006 Posted November 2, 2006 It's not about being a "wimp" or anything like that. It's about empathy and knowing yourself. Agreed. A much better way of putting it, I couldn't quite find the words when composing my original post. I've seen a lot of the films mentioned here, and I've cried at every one of them. And upon repeated viewings, will cry again. Sometimes, it's about feelings I have had been renewed or remembered. For instance, I so dearly loved a cat we had a couple years ago named Jack. Jack was the sweetest cat on earth, but was born with a fatal disease that claimed him after only about 9 short months. Seeing a sad scene in a film might not actually bring back memories of Jack himself, but of the deep sorrow and grief I felt upon losing him. It is bringing tears to my eyes just sitting here typing about it.
