Ok. My kids will be (gulp) 18 next tuesday. Does this mean I have to stop going??? I mean, the worst they will see me do in that place they have already seen me do or assume I do it.....like dancing with gay guys. No problem there. Last week on Halloween their friend who is already 18 went but we didn't run into each other. He got tired (?) and left at midnight! And he didn't even work that day! And I thought I was getting tired easier......god....what is with these kids? We need to train them in the fine art of partying! So next week I might take them for their bday and I want you all to come say HI!!! I insist. It just feels strange to me, now......clubbing with my kids.....but I am not going to stop going for a while yet.....I have grown rather fond of the place, in all its sticky, smelly gory glory. So I was talking with their friend about City Club sluts and how he better be careful with the guys he goes home with, watch your drink....ect....ect....but he loved it! I knew he would.....and I probably will stop going by the time I am um......uh......50? Heh. That gives me less than 10 yrs. What will I do????

Are you going friday or saturday? i mean, i'd love to wish them a happy birthday, but i don't wanna be a bad influence.

im sure your kids know all about you and your "hobbies"... dont assume that they are unaware, even if they pretend they dont have a clue... its probably old news to them.

Man.. I wish my mom took me clubbing for my 18th. You're cool as fuck HH.

I would do the same thing. I'd definitely take my kids to CC.

it's not so bad, I started to go when my uncle & his friends were still going, they only thought it was weird for alittle while, then they got over it, it only got weird again when I started to work there and had to search their girlfriends, they know I knew what they constantly smoked in grandmas basement. have fun, I will have the same problem someday.

heh....my dad Jeff (50) wants me to take him to CC with some of his work mates...so he can pick up a fine "vampire lady(s)"...as he calls it!

Should I? hmmmm.......

Damn, I WISH my parents wanted to go to city club. That would be badass on about every imaginable level.

My children's father goes there. What a freak old bastard.

My dad actually took me and my grandma to a gay bar once when we were on vacation in New York. It was a fairly tame gay bar, but still an interesting experience, being there with my ultra conservative grandma.

If my parents wanted to go to City Club, I wouldn't really mind, but I don't think that's going to happen.

hehe...my mom came with me and my friends to the drag show at Gigi's once. She ended up talking sewing with a bunch of old queens at the end of the bar. She was very pleased that she was able to help one with a particularly sticky situation of sewing feathers to spandex. Mom figured out how to fix it. She's good like that. As for City Club...not her kind of place, but she did help me sew latex gloves for me to go when I was younger!

Me me send the sluts to meeeeeeeeee. Oh wait nevermind. :stuart:

I wouldn't let some sort of "cultural guilt" or some such into your thinking. I assume you do what you do because you think its acceptable. I'd assume based on your open nature that your kids probably already know how you act if not all the specific details.

I think being as open as possible is the way to go as long as the "kids" we are talking about are old enough to understand when certian types of behavior are appropriate and when they are not.

Like , being flirty/cuddly or swearing a lot at CC is a lot different than doing it in the office, for example. =)

My parents and I work on a don't ask/don't tell basis. That works out best for all of us.
