pomba gira Posted November 14, 2006 Posted November 14, 2006 OK this is a pretty lame thing to post about but... these damn things have been sitting in their boxes since I moved in back in April. Kept putting it off, one thing after another... then I felt bad that my auntie (who paid for them, & passed away in August) wouldn't get to see them in place so I didn't wanna deal with it... but, anyway, I finally worked up the gumption to put the damn things up. Still have two more kitchen windows to go... that will have to wait a bit since I did the dumbass move & didn't get rods for them when I could... and the laundry room. But I feel like this is a pretty good start. Hey if I don't find a teaching gig for this year maybe I can go into interior decorating! I know the scarf valance on the double window needs work... think I'm gonna tack it up w/some of these really cool pushpins I found on eBay. Very detailed little silverplate figures- geisha, Isis, skull & bones, hand of Fatima- only problem is deciding which ones to get! Who knows, someday I may even get ambitious & hem those raggedy looking ends. And borrow a steamer to get the wrinkles out of the roman shades. and, uh, just pretend you don't see the disgraceful pile of dirty dishes in the sink.
Onyx Posted November 14, 2006 Posted November 14, 2006 oh wow! I love the colors and that glam look. Looks luxurious and rich.
mallochai Posted November 15, 2006 Posted November 15, 2006 I like them! But... now you need to paint your walls.
Homicidalheathen Posted November 15, 2006 Posted November 15, 2006 Wow! Damn girl! Those look great! Better than I had imagined!
