I'm doing a reinstall of XP on my laptop. It's asking me FAT or NTFS, and I haven't a clue what to pick.

Suggestions, please???

NTFS

FAT is slower and you would loose much of what security XP had if you choose it.

I had already done some Googling and opted for the NTSF. But thanks anyhow, guys. :)

Rugh-roah.

The following value in the .SIF file used by Setup is corrupted or missing:

Value 0 on the line in section [sourceDisksFiles] with key "SP2.cab."

Setup cannot continue. To quit Setup, press F3.

Advice guys? Is this a problem on the computer or on my install disk?

XP will run in fat32. Its just not a wise choice to do so due to limitations in the security, amongst others limitations.

Although FAT is faster, just want you to get your facts accurate. NTFS really is the better choice though even with the barely noticeable speed reduction.
