Question -- has anyone ever come across any place/site that sells Goth Bondage-like pants for kids?

(I say Goth, because they are usually black, unlike the tradional Punk, which are plaid and would be not so great to try and match shirts to for a seven year old)

My seven year old wants a pair of simple black ones for Christmas and I can't find ANY anywhere.

Any ideas or leads even, would be helpful. TIA.

I could twist my mom's arm into making a pair. Um... OK... maybe not. But she's certainly skilled enough. Do you have a photo of what she wants to help us search?

try getting a pattern for pants from JoAnn's or something and modify it - or you could get a cheap pair of pants from Wal-Mart and add things to it

That's what I thought you were looking for. Hmmm. Mom would make them too nice. You'd never want Emily to wear them..

What search terms are you using?

From what you've said, your mom rocks!

I tried everything I could think of ... from "kids bondage pants" to "kids alternative clothes".

I tried her specific size, I tried "kids punk clothes" ... I tried freaking everything I went too. Even searched a few manufacture's sites ... nothing.

... I did find like 8493849382948 shirts though.

I had a site bookmarked (snotnosedbrats) but after I checked it out just now it would appear that someone else has laid claim to the domain name, sorry.

At this point, since you don't seem to be comfortable with the idea of sewing a pair yourself, perhaps you could find a pair of regular black pants and then accessorize them yourself.

You could pick up some D-rings, clasps, and strapping and just sew them onto the pants. Use a tack stitch pattern (a box with an X in it) to make it look more "official". Maybe add some patches or extra large pockets as well.

My only other suggestion would be to check out E-bay or search the web. Let us know if you find a place.

That's a great idea ... but I'm not very talented. I can sew a hole ... but that's about it.

It really wouldn't take too much effort, just some time. You could even hand stitch it on. Just take some shorter pieces of strap and slide the D-ring onto it, fold it over and sew it to the sides and/or back of the pants. Measure out another length of strap (this one will be the one that hooks to the D-rings), fold each end over a hook and sew it together so that the hook is caught in the fold. Place one more strap and D-ring onto the pants in the area below the first piece at the length of the strap with the hooks (I hope I'm explaining this clearly), in the same way you did the first one (repeat this process until you have as many straps on the pants that you'd like to have) and vawlay. Bondage pants

Hopefully, this will help. I'm sorry if it sounds confusing, it really shouldn't be too difficult. If you're still not sure, just look at a pair of bondage pants and I'm certain you'd be able to figure it out. Good luck.

I made the baby nephew a pair last year. Dang family never lets him wear them! If you want to get a base pair of pants from salvation army I'll drag out the sewing machine and show you how to modify. It's a hell of alot more fun than curtains. (which I did finish, yay!)

Thanks everyone!!! And AstralCrux -- I may take you up on the offer. I'll start looking around and seeing what I can find.
