I Hate December And Christmas.

I really don't hate Christmas or December, I just get irritated by the commericalism of it, and the way people act(like they're on an insane sugar high) this time of year. I guess working with the public at Christmas time just makes you jaded like that. Actually, what's left of the little kid in me still gets a little excited about Christmas time.

Last year I was severely depressed at Christmas time, and I was bumming me out even more to feel that way because I usually do like it. I was going through a really hard time, I had just started a demanding new job, I was having money problems, made worse by the fact that I was starting back to school and my car needed an expensive repair, and I had just been through a really painful break-up. I just didn't even want to think about Christmas, or that fact that I would have to spend it away from my family, to the point that when I'd walk into a store to try to do some Christmas shopping it was all I could do not to burst into tears. Because I had to work Christmas eve, my family decided to drive over to Detroit, get a hotel room, and spend a very non-traditional Christmas with me. I guess I'm lucky to have a family like that.
