Dubh Aingeal Posted December 4, 2006 Posted December 4, 2006 Trojan horses masquerading as 'cracks for Vista' are starting to appear on pirate boards. More worrying though, Microsoft has confirmed that Vista's image-based install process is designed to allow third-party software to be slipstreamed into the installation DVD. Great for corporate deployment of Vista with software pre-installed, but also a huge benefit for malware writers, who can distribute Vista images with deeply-rooted malware.
Head Wreck Posted December 4, 2006 Posted December 4, 2006 HA HA HA HA. knew it wouldnt be long for an exploit in vista the "unvirasable", but an exploit his huge is just... gentlemen, i am in tears of laughter.
Soulrev Posted December 7, 2006 Posted December 7, 2006 Yeah but keep in mind those problems would normally only surface if you're trying to get an illegal copy of Vista. The copies on the shelves won't be at risk to that. So don't steal it or steal it smartly and you won't have to worry about that.
