Noctrnal Humans.

I recently got out of the military and am enjoying some time off. I am also a single Father.

I find that although I was in a routine of getting up in the morning for the past Five years, it is real easy to sleep all day and stay up all night. This is the battle I'm fighting now because I still need to get up in the morning.

This makes me wonder if humans were ever nocturnal? Any thoughts?

I guess some scientists did a study.....they said a humans motabalism and dark hits the eyes effects the brain thing changes as we get older. It is natural for younger more fertile people to have a later biological clock....staying up later at night for mating purposes.....the rest of us more for mornings....work and hunting hours.

Personally I have always been nocturnal.......I work better at night and my narcalepsy seems to effect me more during the day or wee hours.

Unless you work at some factory on the night shift, then you will become accustomed to the change.

Its very easy to get into an up all night routine. I, myself, was working a job for 5 years, getting up early with kids and getting ready for work. Now that I'm not working I stay up all night but I still manage to get up early to see my daughter off to school.

Thanks Homicidalheathen, staying up later at night for mating purposes sounds good to me. Looks like I'm not an old man after all

I've been a nocturnal person since I was in 4th grade. It has always been easier for me to stay up all night then it has been for me to sleep at night. Even when i have a day shift job (hate them that burning yellow thing always hurts my eyes) I would stay up til all hours of the late evening.
