jynxxxedangel Posted January 16, 2009 Posted January 16, 2009 (edited) "Maggie" (my vintage Maytag wringer washer) and I are doing laundry. Time to wring, more water, add more soap, and the next load of darks.. Oh, and eating Donckels Cocoa-Dusted Dark Chocolate Truffles. These things are just wrong. This pound of chocolate will probably be gone by tomorrow. Edited January 16, 2009 by jynxxxedangel
Destroit Posted January 16, 2009 Posted January 16, 2009 Rubbing my body trying to encourage it to be skinnier, fucking slacker body, wtf...

jynxxxedangel Posted January 16, 2009 Posted January 16, 2009 Still doing laundry. *sigh* Oh well-- it needs to be done, and my maid and butler seem to have this lifetime off.
DarkVampire Posted January 16, 2009 Posted January 16, 2009 Debating whether to start my 3rd shift hours tonight or tomorrow night. I am done being laid off as of next week.
Homicidalheathen Posted January 16, 2009 Posted January 16, 2009 I just realized crumpet rhymes with trumpet. Have no idea where I am going with this...tis too early to think anyway. But If I DO think about it makes me hungry. Rolls. Roll call...coming from trumpets like the Reveille used at sunrise by army's. And that would lead us to breakfast and CRUMPETS mmmm yum. Crumpets.
e-jewell Posted January 16, 2009 Posted January 16, 2009 Wondering how many animals have died due to the irregular weather. Could populations be falling drastically? I wonder if there were any ice fishermen who froze to death on their way out from the lake. I wonder how many living creatures will die before we realize this is the beginning of the apocalypse and take appropriate measures to ensure the most painless destruction possible.

Don't forget strumpets!! I love those. Especially with their legs wrapped around me.

e-jewell Posted January 16, 2009 Posted January 16, 2009 I quite like trollop. Ex: "I'm going to wallop that little trollop right in her vaginal polyp!" said the John when his STD tests came back positive.

jynxxxedangel Posted January 16, 2009 Posted January 16, 2009 (edited) Still doing laundry the old-timey way: Fill washtub from sink by hand with a big pot. Put in soap. Plug in to start agitator. Pull out plunger to release agitator. Add load of clothes. Wait. Push in plunger to stop agitator. Wring clothes. Pull sump lever to drain basin. Unplug machine. Refill basin with rinse water. Add fabric softener. Plug in to start agitator. Pull out plunger to release agitator. Add wrung clothes. Wait. Push in plunger to stop agitator. Wring clothes. Pull sump lever to drain basin. Unplug machine. Dry clothes in modern gas dryer (I can't have a clothesline in my neighbourhood, and it's too cold for that, anyway!) This entire process takes HOURS, and requires great patience. ..I'm now preparing the third load (whites-- never do your whites first, as residual bleach can ruin your darks!). Domesticity is a martial art-- consisting of discipline, order of procedure, reflex, and execution. I am so proud to be thoroughly modern, yet skilled with the lost arts of homemaking. Women who manage to walk between the two worlds (modernity and traditionality) are very quaint. We seem to have a stockpile of them here on DGN! Perhaps this is because people of the goth persuasion tend to embrace tradition. Next, comes folding clothes and ironing-- which I also LOVE to do. Edited January 16, 2009 by jynxxxedangel
