Fierce Critter Posted December 18, 2006 Posted December 18, 2006 We're looking at possibly spending New Year's at home if we can't find an event of some kind where alcohol isn't a main feature. That means no City Club, unfortunately. Anyone aware of anything like that going on? I know it's a stretch.
Homicidalheathen Posted December 18, 2006 Posted December 18, 2006 There are many yule rituals and a drumming.....the drumming is no drugs or alcohol so pm me if interested...I will be too tired to go. The drumming is on NYE
Fierce Critter Posted December 18, 2006 Author Posted December 18, 2006 I appreciate the suggestion, HH, it's a cool idea. But I know Jon wouldn't go for it.
AstralCrux Posted December 19, 2006 Posted December 19, 2006 If you are really geeky, there's a TCG store that I believe is having a lock in for things like MTG. It's in Taylor. Or, try LazerQuest lock ins- bonus you'll get some exercise while having loads of fun.
Steven Posted December 20, 2006 Posted December 20, 2006 My band plays out the weekend (12-29 and 30th) leading up to New Year's. I'm going to be pretty wiped out from that so chances are I'll bring in the new year with a quiet dinner with Lola and a DVD in my TV chair.....

Oooh, you should come up to karaoke and keep me company then. I have no doubt that it will be little more than the Tina Show all night long. I am going because they are paying me...don't think many others will be there though.

I understand that you don't have to be a member of an actual AA group and i have been to one of their parties - it was just like any other. Sober people can have fun too. This is the Monday night home of the "Sober Riders" motorcycle group. They are having a NYE dance from 9 to 1 with a $5.00 cover.
ManicQueen Posted December 30, 2006 Posted December 30, 2006 My step-dad is in the Sober Riders... kinda funny.
