When my sister was a baby, my parents flew to California to visit relatives. They were running late, afraid they were going to miss their plane, and dad still wasn't very good at getting my sister out of the carrier yet, so....

he put her through the x-ray machine. Mom flipped, dad shrugged it off, my sister just sat in her carrier, and the guy looking at the x-rays was dumbfounded.

But that was the 70s, and apparently, putting people through x-ray machines didn't make CNN back then.

This story cracked me up because dad's always saying "If that happened today, it would be all over the news!"
