Help- Please Save My Down Comforter!

My extreme halfwit ex-husband just put my down comforter through the washer. Is it salvageable? Should I put in in the dryer? It's a king size so it won't even fit in mine, I'd have to take it to the laundromat. I'm sooo pissed... the damn thing is barely a year old. If anyone can tell me how to save it I'll be greatly in your debt!

You can put it in the dryer - use a low heat setting and throw in a couple of clean tennis shoes or tennis balls to help keep the feathers from clumping together.

cooooll... got the same advice from several folks on Yahoo Answers so I gave it a try... or rather sent Estranged Hubby Rick to the laundromat to give it a try... and it seems to have survived intact. Thanks!
