Why are you here? Not here as in DGN, but here as in this existance...

Do you have a purpose? or are you just eye candy? or a space saver?

To answer my own question...

I am here to make people think. To question what they believe to be reality.

I have come to the conclusion that I am here to:

1) Waste space, air, food, gasoline, take your pick.

2) Infuriate as many people as possible, with a never-ending stream of complaints, negativity, and pessimism.

3) Read Lord of the Rings, play Final Fantasy, and be a complete fanboy to both.

I think my purpose is an ever-changing one. As I learn more and live more it moves on into a new phase. I think some stuff.. like being a dork, making people laugh and bringing beautiful, creative stuff to fruition will always be with me, but they will manifest themselves in different ways as I get older.

That's my story and I'm sticking to it.

i agree that it's self-definable, and as such, varies with the individual - but the question was, why do *you* think *you're* here? any thoughts?

I think for myself, as I grow older, I'm searching for and finding much more constancy and much less change when you get down to the core of who and what I am....

To bring randomness to the world, for some reason I get credited for starting people's relationships when I'm drunk or making someone's day. I don't purposefully try to do these things, but stuff like that happens when people are around me.

To search out new and interesting forms of cheese I haven't managed to try yet.

I am here because, dang it anyhow, I feel the compulsion to exist moreso than the compulsion to not exist.

I am here to play MTG with my friends even if they play with annoying decks!

I am here cause my parents are nuts and decided to have kids! I blame them moreso for my siblings however! LOL!

My purpose changes everyday...

Right now for example, it is to get my step daughter to school, give my wonderful and awesome wife some extra shut eye this morning, and later, pick up my daughter and be a good parent, and try to make it through the day without being to hard on myself... and as always, learn what I can along the way, and perhaps do something creative...
