There's a lot of pressure to get out every week, and knowing that it'll always be there takes away a lot of the motivation.

Maybe with one night/month, people would REALLY REALLY try to get together.

Marblez Red Apple event was a success

They same could happen if we did it mothly too.

What do you think???

If you pick only one night A lot of us who have kids and weekend custody obligations are going to be excluded.

I don't think the problem is that it's every Saturday night. I think it's mainly a lack of promotion.

I can't go out too often these days

people are creatures of habit - dgn night has always been sat. nights, every week, and that is the way troy wants it. last time the subject came up) people are welcome to make their own get-together plans, and if they want to do it once a month, that's great, but the official dgn night (as far as i still know) will continue to be weekly, saturday nights. i'm sure troy has gone more in-depth with his thoughts/reasonings about this, but that's all i remember right now...

I voted once a month. Having a "DGN Night" where no one shows up wouldn't make me actually write "City Club Tonight" in my date book, but having a once-a-month gathering WOULD.

Agreed. -AND- People are more likely to join DGN if they can clearly see that we are a significant part of the CC population.

I think once a month is a good idea. But I also think they should still have it every week for those who can't set aside one day a month due to other things going on in this hectic world. I wish I could vote for both cause they each have their pros. The only reason for my lack of attendence is the cold weather and my club clothes are not very warm. Plus cc is cold on the inside.

Dude. We CAN do both. A special day once a month, and everyone else who already goes weekly would still go weekly.

I'm not gonna NOT go to city club just because it's not "DGN night" when no one shows up for that anymore anyway. if this past saturday night had been a special monthly DGN night instead of just another "no one" week, i'd've been there.

as i mentioned before, i think it would be great if people arranged, amongst themselves, to pick a night where they'll all meet up, but as for the offical dgn night going to monthly, it's not going to happen unless troy changes his mind, and from what i remember of the discussions about this in the past, it more than likely won't be changing.

I agree that if scheduled only monthly, more than likely we'd end up missing it as we have busy weekends lately and low motivation to go to CC too.

A single Saturday being "DGN Night" would NOT motivate us MORE to go out.

I agree that it's a promotional problem, not a frequency problem.

Of course, we haven't, and won't be, clubbing for a while, so my input is somewhat moot.
