Ending song: This shit will fuck you up (CombiChrist) or Straight to Video (MSI)

Please also list some songs you love to hear at a club, I am making up playlists right now because I am trying to start up becomming a DJ. (And also opening my open place but lets start off slow shall we?)

I like anything by the Cruxshadows and, forgive me everyone, but I don't feel like I've been out to a goth club unless I hear Temple of Love now and again. (What can I say - I'm old).

you can't go wrong if you play the popular old standbys, really you can't... but who wants to do that?

if you want to make a club night your own you can introduce new stuff little by little, as long as it's good. i was at luna and the guy played "le disko" by shiny toy guns and it was the first time i heard it and i was like, WOW, what the FUCK IS THAT AWESOME SHIT!!!

so if you pepper in some stuff no one's ever heard before, regulars will get used to it anyway over time. so have fun and play some great music that may not be as popular instead of just playing well-liked music =D

Onyx - Thanks. The only reason Sisters of Mercy and some other standbys don't appear on my list is because I have not yet ripped all my CD's into MP3's.

Steven - the majority of what is on my list are songs that I either discovered directly from the playlists posted by the City Club DJ's, or songs I heard when attending there myself.

It is very heavy on the EBM/Synthpop side of things. Almost none of what would be considered Industrial, techno, or pure goth.

I like to listen to goth, but I can't dance to it (Siouxsie, Peter Murphy, Sisters, etc.).

By the way - would someone PLEASE, when playing the token 4 goth songs of the night, play:

Some Siouxsie other than Peek-A-Boo or Cities in Dust (How about Israel? Spellbound? Hong Kong Garden? ANYTHING from side 2 of the first hits album?)

Peter Murphy other than Cuts You Up (Subway? Crystal Wrists?)

Cure other than Fascination Street (A Forest? Primary? Play for Today?)

Sisters other than Marian (Vision Thing? Colours?)

Gads, I get so sick of hearing the same songs over and over again when the 20-Minute Goth Break goes into effect.

Steven - if you want a more concise selection of "best of's" to pick from to try on my list, lemme know. I can narrow it down to a top 10 list of "fantastic songs that represent the best of dancing at CC, are considered overplayed, yet are consistently and frequently requested on a regular basis."
