my kids go to ghetto ass clinton township schools.

They are too cheap to buy busses so......most kids have to walk..thus.......today they had a 'freeze day'.

To cold to let the little buggars walk I guess.

as cold as it is and as much as i'd love to complain about being cold in my house that is drafty cold and my car that takes 20 minutes to warm up and having to get in and out of my car to go places in this frigid air -- i am glad i have my drafty cold house and car that takes 20 minutes to warm up. i look out my bedroom door window every night and think about the homeless people out there and it breaks my heart. even though they can go to shelters to warm up they are still on the streets during all this. i can't even imagine having to live like that. :(

I agree. I did the homeless thing for a few short stints in A.Z. I would not attempt it here. In fact, I would hop a train heading south first. Last year a young unexperienced homeless man froze to death on a playground plastic slide near my home. Guess he wasn't layered or anything.
