I watched that show for the first time ever this past Monday.

My husband's a fan. He calls it the Jack Bauer show. "We can't go out Monday night. I have to watch Jack Bauer save the world again."

So, HE thinks it's the greatest show ever.

On Monday night, the terrorists DRILLED A HOLE through this guy's shoulder. I couldn't watch that part, or the part where they were beating the crap out of him. It's a good show, but I can't stand the violence. And I find it strange that they can get anywhere in LA in like three minutes, but hey, I guess that's television.

Sadly, just amazing. It's too restricted by the gimmick to be the greatest show ever next to shows like The Sopranos.

It was one of the best shows ever during season one, since then it's just repeating the same thing over and over and over. I do beleive they hold the record for most kidnappings in TV history though.

ugh, i just finished season 1 and watched the first episode of season 2.

*mild spoiler warning for anyone who hasn't seen it and plans to*

i don't know whether i'm more pissed off that, more than a year later, some silly bitch who was kidnapped SIXTY BAZILLION TIMES in ONE DAY never fucking took a self defense class or got a concealed weapons permit or even some fucking PEPPER SPRAY FOR CHRISSAKE or that i'm so involved in the story now that I have no choice but to watch it. i hope they kill her off finally and jack just goes off the deep end and kills everything and maybe starts banging that chick who used to be on roseanne.

My husband's watching it. I can hear the dialogue. If you missed it, here's what happened:

Jack bauer said "GET DOWN!" and other pithy statements. Other people in the show said things like "If you do X, I WILL kill you"
