Economist Won The Nobel Peace Prize For 2006

The funny thing is, the Noble prize for Economics was given to Edmund Phelps. The Noble Peace prize is given to people who do good for humanity (except when Arafat won it, he was a murderer but apparently you can kill people and still win a peace prize) and the Economics award was not intended to be an award but the Bankers of Sweden decided to add it as an award.

Anyway, Muhammad Yunus won the Noble Peace Prize but probably would never win the Noble Prize for Economics. Phelps was hardly as generous with his own money as Muhammad, but Phelps understands how unemployment works better than....well, almost everyone..... So in analogy, Jesus Christ was a great Humanatarian but PJ O'Rourke is better at explaining stagflation.

Good topic!
