"Most people would go on about how great the person is, how we look to them and see glory written from the moment we saw them. Saying this about Erin would be a lie. I didn't see glory written in her every movement. I didn't see anything. No giant boom and there was a hero or some revolutionary that would change the world. Her actions showed me what she is capable of, which is far beyond anything I have ever seen. If ever there was a person, who later generations would look back upon and create grand and mythic stories of, it would be Erin Taylor. Not because of what she is done, but what she is capable of doing." - Stanely Enric, Ex Cahalith of Silens Affinitas

Eek, that's a tough one brass.

I googled my own name once.

I found some of the stuff that I had written that was published.

That was cool.

But then there was another me. She lives in California. And, she's like all athletic and shit! She runs marathons for crissake (with pretty good times, too, I might add).

Which blows my theory out of the water, which is that My People, the People from whom I come, are a People of Sitters. It is what we do. We are champion sitters, winning sit competitions the world over, and that of course would explain why it's so hard to get my ass to the gym.

But then there has to be this OTHER me, who's like in shape.

Gawd, I hate her.

I want my name back.

David McMahan has a few links

Scary Guy... well that other guy's a douchebag. He goes around and talks at schools with all his tattoos and how he's a freak and has been banned from x amount of cities for how he looks.

I don't get banned, I just get shunned, but that isn't what pisses me off. It's when the kids go to look him up and end up finding ME. Then I get to tell them in the nicest way possible I'm not that other Scary Guy and to kindly go away. Then when they get pissy at me I show them the reality of life and the universe. Then I block them when they're too stupid to see it.

Haha, I'm just finding all of my online profiles.... my GFXartist account that I forgot existed, my Cyber_Geisha livejournal, the fact that I made the Dean's list last semester at school.....

Only thing of consequence that turns up is the article (p.12 of the file if anyone's actually interested) about my former student who died recently ... followed by a lot of unflattering articles about Hillary Clinton, mostly comparing her with various species of duck.

this, ironically, has absolutely nothing to do with the topic at hand.

I was trying to relate that worrying about your self "image" being "tainted" by a silly google search is just as dumb as making sexual enuendos to everything someone says... why do you care? It's not like your famous or anything.

Why did you have to say something and ruin it. I figured the irony was your evil master plan till I got to the bottom.

While I hate foamy I do agree with that rant, especially since he made a reference to Darwinism :happydance

However don't actually get too drunk to drive home. I'd hate to actually see any of you get scraped off the pavement.

It's true that friends don't let friends drive drunk. To everyone else, I've got space in the back of my car reserved just for you :)

my current first and last name don't show up with any results at all.

my name that i actually *go by* now shows up with one person that is not me and then a website that has my father's death notice on it. before, nothing showed up for me. i hate that that is what is brought up with my name now.

      About to head up to Roseville to return this rental and pick up my truck from the auto shop.  It is supposedly sporting a newly fabricated frame rail...I don't think they are referred to as "chassis" anymore as I see the confusion in shop owner's eyes when they ask me if I'm looking for "body work?".   But I do find it interesting that I told the owner that I worked direct with OEM parts and yet he still wrote me up an invoice with overpriced OEM parts from companies I used to host at the place I used to work for.  With that said, I'm expecting a stellar job for the amount I paid.   ...else, there will be some talk negotiations.

      ~~~~~ Definitely wishing you luck.  Do enjoy yourselves.   But I have to admit, the first thing that came to mind was does roadside assistance reach the desert? 😬
      ~~~~~ Yeah, it's like something happened to my metabolism this past Winter and when I came out of hibernation, that AARP Join Request started looking like something to check into.

      This 👆 definitely goes with what I said in my other post - getting old sucks. Seems like *everything* takes longer and takes more energy out of me than it used to. Really need to work on my diet and exercise, I've found the older I get, the more important those things have really become...
