So I get off work and decide to check the latest hubub on dgn and wow... the best way I guess I can summarize this is, dgn has had several problems that weren't so obvious, until one problem showed the lacking of certain elements of control here in dgn... and I feel I sparked this.

It started when I came to conflict between me and another on here. I really feel I don't need to mention any names, everyone knows who this person is. It being against my nature to just say nothing and allow critizism that was given rudely, I did retaliate. Other's congradulated me on myspace, yahoo, and a couple via private messages on here. I didn't know that me standing up to blatant rudeness would have had such a profound impact.

A big point I wish to make here on this thread is it seems the antagonist isn't repremanded, but the retaliators are. If someone can't take insults, then they shouldn't dish them out. This person hasn't just harrassed me (honestly, I couldn't give a fuck less, I'd retaliate and have a good laugh) but other's don't feel such as they have a thinner skin. For ones to criticize the retaliators to say get a thicker skin, shows hypocracy... big time. Many are annoyed by one, and it's apparent that it's gone far enough for a member to leave the board due to the fact that they find this site simply unenjoyable because of one person. Am I the only one here that is thinking about this logically? Or is it politics here in dgn concerning $$$$. I personally have no problems with any members on the moderating team, they're great people, and I give them respect as people, and as moderators. However I do feel things aren't necesarily doing things wrong, there is room for improvement however. Many have spoken their mind about said named person. Yet said named person (SNP) is defended. I strongly feel this is due to $$$. So what if they made a donation, it's because of people like this wich is why I've not made a donation. It's simple economics, I'm not going to pay money for something that's not working properly. Other's feel the same way. The one who left, she could have been a very positive infuence on this board, refered it to others, and possibly gained more donations from it. The phrase, "cutting off your nose to spite your face" fits here.

It's almost unanymous that SNP is a negative influence on this board and is decreasing it's overall popularity.

For those who are clueless, It's NOT gothmama, she's comletely another can of worms that I won't cover here.

I'm not complaining, yet going to speak simple action and reaction, and chain reaction as follows..

I, or another, join this board. SNP gets on my case, as everyone elses, leaving a bad first impression. This isn't going to make one wish to stay or donate, but rather say, erm... wrong turn.. let me go elsewhere on the internet. So many old members feel this way and have stopped posting due to this. It shows that the board isn't fun or inviting, but full of arguing and drama..

Maybe I don't think like most others, but my method to always solving the problem is by not attacking the reactions, but instead nullifying the source. If your finger gets cut, you don't chop it off because it hurts, you treat the actual wound. Why is this not being done... I really don't know and at this point I really don't care.

Everyone is going to have different opinions from one another, and even if i may dissagree with most opinions on here, i enjoy reading it as it shows diversity and color, wich is what life is really all about. hearing SNP try to argue with everone's opinion to get them to think like her, in a very negative way while sometimes dishing out insults is not something I, or others come here to see.

True, they're is ignore, yet I really don't like to use that option as it's one form of blinding myself, and two, what Scary guy has said about the ignore option. It's really not as effective as it's made out to be.

I'm not trying to change anything, point fingers at anyone, or cause any drama. I'm stating what I've observed and what I feel is obvious.

Do what you will with my two cents. I for one am tired of getting warned, and seeing other's get warned, for standing their ground against rude insults. At this point I don't even care if I do get banned for this. But if you take a moment to observe certain facts that include why I've not donated any money, as i know other's who've not donated for the same thing, there's an ignorant loudmouth on the board and nothing is being done, wich is why I and a few others who wish to remain nameless have not donated one dime to this site. The chain reactions from SNP, over the past few months, have decreased this boards popularity, less new people join, and slowly more and more old people leave, and everyone i've talked to (can't account for the one's i've not talked to) have one unanymous answer to why... SNP's actions on here.

I doubt I'll post anything for a while, but I will occasionally take a view here everynow and then. I'll be waiting, like the other's I've mentioned, for the obvious to finally be done. Once it's done, I'm very sure things will change to a more positive atmosphere here, and dgn will grow once again.
