Ok, I'm Irratated...

Ok, first off, I put this topic in "Other Stuff" cause I dunno where it should be posted. So, if it needs to be moved else where, I understand.

Now, on to my rant. What is REALLY pissing me off is the whole "I'm going to make a fake account so I can piss people off, and if I get banned? Oh, well, it's not my primary account" thing. This is not only stupid and immature. But it has taken a toll on people who would like to join the ranks of "DGN'rs".

A freind of mine wanted to join, but had to wait for validation from a moderator. She thought that she had did something wrong. So I, not knowing of the fact that new members are 'scanned' (if you will) wanted to try and help. This is when I find out about it. New members shouldn't have to wait to be 'ok'd by moderators. Don't get me wrong , I completly understand why you moderators are doing this. My anger is not with you. The fact is; you shouldn't have to do this!!

What should be a simple task is now a complicated one. I shouldn't have to tell freinds about this site and then say : "Oh, but you have to wait until a moderator validates your account". It's ridicolous.

If you have something to say, then friggin' say it!! Have the friggin gull to say it under your REAL account and let people know who is really saying it!! There has been times I have pissed people off and said things that should not have been said. But I had the balls to say it under my main account and I didn't hide. I, at least owned up to my actions.

To those who have made fake accounts to cause trouble I have this to say;

Are you really that cowardice? Do you really think it's worth the risk of losing 'new recruits' who would possibly enjoy this board just so you can be a jerk? Are you that selfish? Are you taking in account that you're making the job of running this board more work than it should be for the mods??

So, please, I'm asking nicely, step in someone else's shoes and take a look at your actions and ask yourself; "Is this really worth it?"

Unfortunately, sweetie, it has come to this. We don't necessarily like it any more than you do. However, because of a few bad apples, we have no choice. But, if your friend wants to contact TA or myself, that would be cool.

I agree the mods shouldn't have to do this but its good they do what will all the BS I have seen on the board over the years.

Fake accounts are made to hurt people and they are trying to stop this.

There is really NO other choice. We tried it the other way and it's impossible for a number of reasons.

Were you around when we were being drowned in spam? Nobody has the time to sit here for hours deleting spam, and the only way to keep it away for good is approval by hand.

I have a full time job, a business on the side, two children, and I do try to have a life outside of that. We were spending hours deleting spam. I barely have time to breathe and I definitely don't have any more time to spend here wasting hours with idiot spammers trying to sell us viagra.
