Ok, we all discussed how un reasonable and how zombies would never happen so on so fourth woo hoo.

Hypothetically.

ZOMG!!!! Pfizer created the X-virus all of southeastern MI is zombified and like resident evil 2 and 3.

what would you do? what would your first POA be?

I've always been fascinated by an apocalyptic Zombie idea like RE. so this is a good topic for me to invest time in.

Anywho myself

I'd hopefully get into Walmart (its the closest gun store) and hopefully get a shotgun or 2. maybe a rifle. as well as various other supplies. then i would look for my friends, it would suck to know that you COULD OF saved your friends but didnt. then i guess i would try to find a way out of the city, if im here in Ann Arbor... maybe i would... take a trip to the Lotus dealer and kinda... Borrow... a car.... they wouldn't miss it....lol and probably get out of the city but on the way everywhere of course lots o' Zombie slaying. thus is why i hopefully have the shotgun! but ill be sure to also find a grenade launcher, a magnum, and an SMG...lol

Wait.

The dead rise from their graves as zombies, or everyone living becomes a... how you say... zombie.

Both are implausible, but if you're so keen on preparing for some sort of apocalypse, there are a lot of tragedy scenarios that are much more likely.

Supervolcanoes, for one. =D An engineered virus that actually kills people instead of... *cough* makes them zombies. A big fat nucyoolar bomb.

Something bad enough to turn society into a free-for-all kinda like New Orleans was in the wake of Katrina. Why don't you join a militia?

This is what I'm gonna do: hit up, square, triangle, left thumb pad, square, square, circle.

thats no good you would have to hold R1 in order for square to do anything

You wouldn't want a Lotus, a vehicle with offroad capability and an aux fuel tank would be much more useful... AFA weaponry I'd think you want something that will take limbs off in one pass so the magnum wouldn't do much good... well, not against the zombies but I guess it would work fine against the hordes of lawless humans out looking for rape & pillage action.

Cool zombie-themed manga with chapters readable online at TokyoPop.com: The Abandoned, I Luv Halloween vol. 2, War on Flesh.

There is also some awesome zombie-themed flash stuff at Newgrounds... especially look for anything by SickDeathFiend who is a very talented & very delicious-looking young goth dude.

Ok, first let me just say

ZOMBIES ROCK!!!! Yes!

Ok, then...screw going out to find your friends man. Plan ahead! All of our friends already know which WalMart to meet at. Oh yes, we are prepared. WalMart has everything you need to survive and it also has a nicely convienent location.

So... zombies and any other creature of the night...bring um on, we're ready!

actually this plan is very flawed not all walmarts carry guns plus with all of the people who go there and the fact that a zombie outbreak would spread fairly fast you probally wouldnt make it out of there alive most the people if not all would be zombies already

and as far as cars go the roads would be fucked with people who drive around in a panic and accidents thats not a good place to be

and not only do you have to many heavy and fairly flawed weapons (the shotgun is only good for close range, the gernade launcher will be nothing but problems and you do have to know how to use one or else it is worthless a magnum will only blow a zombies head off in resident evil and you have to have good enough aim to hit the head in the first place) blades are much better for the most part

and when there is an out break the the main thing you want to do is find a safe or at least safer place never stop to slay zombies just for fun only do it when you have too

All valid points. Unless the mere fact of a zombie outbreak somehow replaced the actual laws of physics with movie physics, which is certainly a possibility.

Last time I was in a Wal-Mart, most errone there looked like zombies anyway.

This why you plan ahead and select a Super Walmart that caries guns and amunition. Ours is literally a three minute drive away. Plus...we have a very large collection of swords and battle axes and the like, which would most certainly be going with us. Besides, the point of the Walmart isn't to leave it once you've been equiped; it's to stay there and wait out the "virus". You have building materials to secure the enterence ways, you have weapons (plus what you bring of your own), you have food, clothes, sleeping gear, camping gear (for when the electricity goes out) and lets not forget...the handy eye glass center and hair salon :wink

Anyway...that's where you'd find me and mine. I mean really...after everyone dies the zombies would have to eventually die out too, right? Right? Oh well...it's worth a shot.

First you need supplies. Screw AnalMart, lets go for the classic mall scenereo. Lower the security gates, clear out any zombies already in the mall, you're set for a while. Scratch that, first get a chopper and someone who can fly it. Then land on the mall to make quick runs to other places. Start a farm IN THE MALL (so have one with a huge skylight or something) so you could have your own food and not have to worry when the food goes bad in 5+ years. Stock up on ammo etc... assuming these are the regular zombies and not "The Return of the Living Dead" type where they keep living even after you sever them, in which case cutlery or heavy ammo (to literally blow them to bits) would be preferred. Then some cleaning supplies to limit contamination). Get one of every type of communications device and keep them handy just in case (CB, HAM, cell phone, hard line phone, computer with internet both wireless and wired).

So no one else thinks it's a strange coincidence that all the DGNers (but ONLY the DGNers) are going to survive the zombification as humans who will then need to defend themselves?

'The Zombie Survival Guide' is an excellent source of info for the 'what if' scenario...But, I'd hit up my freind, Dave. For he is a human arsenal.

I found out what my role would be in the 'z-day' scenario. The entertainment...aww yeaa...I'd have to stay alive to keep my group amused and entertained, thus least likely to snap under the circumstances and go insane...

What I thought was amazing was my idea: get up the stairs, then destroy the staircase, ended up being number 7 on the checklist in the survival guide...

Z-DAY WILL HAPPEN AND ALL WHO MOCK IT WILL BE SORRY!!!

I'm going to avoid being in a large population center.... check, got that...

Excellent point. I'll prolly be one of the first zombies and I'm gonna eat all the DGNr's

.....BRAINS...... :drool

I'm thinking I'm going to be moving to AZ, soon! Can't wait! I friggin' love it here! The heat doesn't bother me at all and the best part? NO SNOW!!! (S.N.O.W. - Shit  No One Wants)   Been staying in Bullhead City where the kids and grandkids live. Next, we're going to the wife's cousin's which is a ways North of Kingman, in the middle of nowhere, where we actually plan to move.   I really like Bullhead. It's a nice little town. Not overcrowded like Colorado Springs has become, at all. Very light traffic, reasonable prices on everything, low taxes, etc. The river offers a lot to do, with a lot of beaches and campgrounds all around it.   But yeah even though we've been over 110º-115º F just about every day,  I can handle it!  What I can't handle anymore, is snow and being cold. Just tired of it. Give me the desert over a blizzard any day!

Nope, we wasn't doing anything. I didn't want to go by myself.  I ended up doing karaoke here. It would of been a perfect day to go, though.
