My parents are arguing about arguing... no joke. Now you all know where I get it from, anyway. I need to move the fuck out. Thank the gods (i don't really believe in) i got my job back...

hahaha....those were my husband and I's WORST arguments. It quickly became NOT about whatever subject that had come up, but that my husband and I become bitches and hurt eachothers feelings when we got riled up. Usually, looking back on it, the root cause of the conflict was stress and nothing much other than stress.

We also had to figure out that while I almost pathologically need immediate "closure" HE needs his space...horrible combination until you figure out how to deal with it. I found out that all I needed to do was let the insult bounce off the new "armor" I grew, just say that "wasn't cool" and walk away and within half an hour, with no fail, he would apologize and we'd be all happy fun-time. This, of course, took about 10 years to figure out cause I'm dense.

Just be thankful your parents are helping you out You'll live somehow. I didn't know you were out of a job, but I'm glad to hear you are into one again!

They've been married almost 27 years... and the problem isn't so much that they try to hurt each others' feelings, it's that my dad doesn't have enough respect for my mom and she doesn't have enough respect for herself. So she lets him treat her and everyone else like trash until she reaches a breaking point and unleashes and that gives him the idea that she's just got a hair up her ass and being "unreasonable" and "argumentative."

Oh, I've got stupid in spades. I just got off IM explining to a girl that No... I have, in fact, never had sex with her, and have never dated her, never been to COLORADO and so in all likelyhood have never in fact cheated on her.
