celestial Posted March 26, 2007 Posted March 26, 2007 Just wondering if there are any others with this addiction. Though i do enjoy escaping the real world now and then i feel my self doing it more and more lately. I love playing my ranger in Vanguard saga of heroes but i find my self feeling obligated sometimes to log in because of the time i've spent playing thus far. Anyone else play everquest, wow, or vanguard?

Anyone else play everquest, wow, or vanguard? i've never played ANY of those (with the very brief exception of eq), but yeah, i'm a mmorpg fiend. i read some great advice by this writer for some gaming magazine regarding mmorpg addiction: if you ever just feel like not playing, run with it. that's what i've been doing for about 4 months now. 4 months mmorpg FREE. i'm not gonna say i've beat an addiction because i KNOW someday i'll be back. i'm just being... comparatively constructive lately. long breaks are good.

wormsinwombs Posted March 30, 2007 Posted March 30, 2007 A few months ago I was really into WOW...but since the sun has started to come out I haven't played as much. hehe But I still really really love WOW
Klaus Posted April 3, 2007 Posted April 3, 2007 I played andl technically i still do, play Final Fantasy 11. however i got bored with it because of low level and what not but my cousin has been playing my char and im kinda buff now i might get back into it but i dont know, it is like 13 bucks a month and i could really use that 13 for gas or part gas. ya know? currently im just obsessed with Elder Scrolls 4: Oblivion its not an MMo and ive already put almost 500 hours into the game.... and im not bored with it.... @_@
Guest Megalicious Posted April 4, 2007 Posted April 4, 2007 Nope, I am not addicted to any of those. However I was addicted to Bubble Bobble BAM for a while for the DS. I have now moved on to The Adventures of Cookie and Cream for PS2, though it is an old game (and cost me ALOT for an old game I might add) it was highly recommended, and it's worked out well, we have 2 video game addicted in the house and the CO-OP rules!!! (plus who could say no to a pair of techo-colored Japanese rabbits with pots on their heads!!)
Troy Spiral (13) Posted April 4, 2007 Posted April 4, 2007 I've been a hardcore MMORPG addict since before they were called MMORPGs. You are not alone. Welcome to the Asylum. I spent years playing the various "big time" Graphical MUDs as us fossils call them. UO,EQ,WoW,EQ2,DAOC (and tons more) Vanguard is the new kid on the block, i've not really bothered with it as DnD Online is by the same team, and if i was going to go back to a TB based MMO it would have to be DDO. Not to say its not good, just... with all the massive timesinks available , i have to have some sort of picky-choosey instincts. Currently im playing an uber-simple one called Tibia (tibia.com , free to play) Shit graphics, (well they are CUTE but really anicent looking , think SNES/Zelda) and NO sound. But its just as, if not more addicting than anything.

CixWicked Posted April 5, 2007 Posted April 5, 2007 I'm addicted to GAMES in general... don't matter what the brand, flavor, or format, if it's a game I'm ALL ABOUT PLAYING. Back in the mid to late 90's I was working in a hobby shop in Ann Arbor, and I was in heaven... HEAVEN!!!! I used to play/run a vampire game every week with my roommates, and at least a couple people on this board currently were members. I've played table top games, including D&D and spanning out to the far fetched, foreign games like 'Mechanical Dream' (A very weird french game with absolutely no humans what so ever...). In the 80's I was a hard core MU* Player and designer... I wized, built and coded on probably a good 20 different MUSH's (M.U.* = Multi User whatevers... basically multiplayer text adventure games.... Pretty cool, and the Grandfather of MMORPG's.), and even went as far as to build my own (Which never went public, but was fun to do). I've played WOW, Everquest (For about 10 minutes, hated it), UOL, Acheron's Call, and Guildwars... The good thing for me is that... I'm easily distracted by new, and interesting games, so my addiction breaks itself. Something new will come along, and before you know it, I'll be playing something else and think... 'what ever happened to my WOW account?" Yeah I know, I'm a sad little man... Anyways. I love em all... Board games, Dice games, Card games, Computer Games, table top role playing games. LARP, BLARP... you name it, I'm up for it... ::SHRUG:: Call me mr sicko. CixWicked
