OK I should say I don't care about sports unless I am either playing myself or know someone who is. Other than that all it is is a huge annoyance. People get paid way too much money to play and if someone gets paid that much I think it should be a little more dangerous. Lets bring back jousting

Also I do like it when the home team wins for major sports because it's good for the economy. However the local team hardly ever wins as far as I can tell (pick your sport, it doesn't matter, the home team sucks).

Also I can do without the traffic jams/detours and the occasional riot.

I don't follow basketball but the tigers suck and the wings suck. OK sure the wings got the cup what 3 times recently but that was 5 years ago and before that it was 40 YEARS!

The tigers won the world series in 84 and since then have pretty much sucked worse than the wings.

I don't follow basketball even more than I don't follow the other two (had to look up information, which I'll do to prove a point).

People better start winning again to bring more business back to town.

when you look that information up, will you stumble upon the fact that the pistons won the championship, in... oh, what was it, '04 (and possibly one of the seasons since then, my memory's bad), and the tigers were in the world series last year?

and as for the wings sucking, it doesn't matter how long their dry spell was. team dynamics are constantly shifting and they've been doing generally pretty good the past few years.

point is, we've got three really great teams and one that's incredibly shitty. and the thing is, i don't even CARE about any of the sports one iota with the exception of football. i'm a lions fan.

Forcing other people to see my point of view makes me feel good inside. Like I've taught someone something as in maybe not everyone thinks like you do.

The Tigers will never change. Last year was a fluke. They suck like the Lions. My favorite sports teams are not from Michigan that is for sure.
